Like I said, my name is Jami Jo and I have had a partnership with Scentsy Fragrance for almost 15 years now. Next month will be 15 years. I started my partnership with Scentsy, with really no big plans. I was a public school teacher at the time. When I started with Scentsy, I was using the product so it made sense to jump on board.

Also, a lot of my friends were interested in the product. I was the first in my school building to find this product, and a lot of them were very intrigued by it and wanting to purchase some for themselves. So I thought if I start a partnership with Scentsy, they’re gonna be buying it. Maybe I can make a little side hustle money. Honestly, I just wanted like a hundred bucks a month, um, to blow at Target or on a new pair of shoes or whatever. That wouldn’t affect the family budget. And friends, let me tell you, I had tried other businesses. That’s really what we’re gonna focus on here today. What makes Scentsy different than those other direct sales or multi-level marketing businesses? I had tried other businesses. I had tried selling makeup. I had tried selling nutritional products. I had tried selling, um, clothing and lingerie.

I had tried different things and none of them worked. So when I say I started a partnership with Scentsy, really not expecting anything. I really wasn’t expecting anything because I’d been there and done that. But it made sense for me to jump on board because I had hosted a party. Really, there was no party involved. I had taken the testers and put ’em in the office at my school, in the break room in my school, and had gathered enough orders that I knew it would replenish the amount of money of the starter kit. So it was a no-brainer for me to get started. Um, I’m, I feel like I’m kind of rambling here, but I just want you to know my background. Been there, done that with other businesses. It just made sense to at least jump on board with Steny whether it became something or not.

But long story short, it did become something I did find success with this company that I had never found with another company. I was able to quit my teaching job. I was able to put my kids in private school. I have now been able to travel the world. Now the government makes me say this is not typical or promised. It’s not, but I’m just here to share my story and tell you why I think it worked for me and why I think it can work for you as well. There are things about Scentsy that make it different than a lot of other direct sales companies. Now, I’m gonna hit a couple bullet points on those differences. And some of them you might say, oh, well this is like this company, or this is like this company, but I bet that you can’t find a company that, that my list would work for, for the company.

Like my entire list would work for the company. So let’s talk about what I think is different about Scentsy and why I think this company worked for me and it can work for you. The first thing is Consumability. So this means that your customers are going to use up the product and need more. Now, that’s not the case with warmers or with Wall fans, but the stuff that they put in ’em, they’re gonna need more of. They’re gonna need more wax, they’re gonna need more pods, they’re gonna need more scent packs. That is consumability. That means once you find a customer, if you provide good customer service, they’re going to stay a customer. So that increases your ability to make money because while you’re always wanting to find new customers, you still have this existing customer base that you’re building on top of. So your customer base is always growing. Think of in a different aspect. A, a company that might be different is one that might sell bags or might sell kitchen equipment. Once you have a bag, you have a bag, you don’t really use it up. Yeah, you might want a new style or something, but you’re not using it up. Same with a, a pot or a pan that you buy for your kitchen. You’re not using it up and needing another pot or pan with Scentsy, you are going to need more wax to put in that warmer.

So Consumability is a huge benefit to s Scentsy. Another great benefit to S Scentsy is the price point. We have items in the US from $3 all the way to $250. That means no matter who you’re selling to, you are going to be able to find something in their price point. There are so many companies that are super high end. I have a friend that had an affiliate link open for a skincare company and I wanted to do what I call the pity purchase. I purchase a lot of items from direct sales companies when I have friends that jump on board with the direct sales company or a friend that is hosting an affiliate link with the direct sales company. Just because I want to support them and support what they’re doing. It’s not necessarily that I love their products, I’m just supporting a friend that is the pity purchase.

So this friend had the party with a skincare company. I was gonna make the pity purchase, so I was looking for something super affordable. Friends, all I found was like a lip product and it was $18. Now it wasn’t even something that I wanted, but I spent $18 by the time I paid the tax, the shipping, all that good stuff, I had spent $30 with this company that I wasn’t even interested in. Scentsy has products as affordable as $3, $3 and really who doesn’t love fragrance? So I feel like our pity purchase is still a good purchase and I’m, I’m not oblivious to think that that people aren’t just buying out of pity <laugh> because sometimes they don’t know anything about this company or really it’s something that just doesn’t intrigue them. But we can get them something that they can afford.

Kind of to piggyback off of price point is demographic guys a bag company or a purse company. They’ve limited their demographic by 50% because most men don’t carry a bag or a purse. So right there, the demographic’s cut in half. Um, if you have a children’s book company, your demographic is much smaller as well because you’re only marketing to people with kids or grandkids. Our demographic is literally everyone I sell to male and female. I have products for brand newborn babies. I have products that are safe enough to have in nursing homes. With an older community, I am able to sell my products to every single person. I have no certain demographic. So that is wide open to me. Let’s talk about the actual products that I sell. These products make people feel good. It creates a home space that’s more inviting. It creates things that bring happiness.

So even if someone is down on their luck, tight on money, tight on finances, they will purchase these products just because it makes them feel good. Now let’s talk about the Scentsy name. Our brand is well known. People know Scentsy. Think of it like this. I want you to think of Kleenex. When I say the word Kleenex, you are probably just thinking of a tissue. Not all tissues are the brand Kleenex, but we know it by that name. They’re actually tissues, but we know it by Kleenex. Any wax and Warmer is basically known as a Scentsy, even though we know that they are not all Scentsy products, that ours are superior to all the others ’cause we are the best on the market. That’s a whole different video of why we are the best of the best. But Scentsy is a brand that is well known.

People know s Scentsy as Wax and Warmers. Now we have tons of other products as you can see all around me, but we are known as the Wax and warmer company. People know the name Scentsy and they trust the name Scentsy because it’s been around. The last thing I want to touch on is the startup cost. I told you I tried other companies and one of them was a nutrition company. Guys, I had to fork over $3,000 to get started with that one. And let me tell you, I took a lot of vitamins and supplements because I couldn’t even sell the $3,000 worth of vitamins and supplements. With S Scentsy Fragrance, we have so many startup options. There are very few companies, I can’t think of one off the top of my head at all, that offers a $0 out of pocket startup kit.
