This is a question that I am often asked by my customers or when I’m out doing an event, people love a fresh, clean fragrance of lemon, especially in the summertime.
Actually, I say especially in the summertime, I have a lot of people that want lemon year round because I really believe that lemon is the best natural fragrance that just smells fresh and clean. If you want your house to smell like it is clean, you want lemon scent in your house. So I have chosen my personal six pack pick for a lemon scented fragrance, and I am going to start out this six pack pick with one of my all time favorite fragrances from Scentsy, and it is squeeze the day. Now, squeeze the day to me smells just like a lemon cookie or a fresh lemon cake. So it actually gives me quite the scent memory. If you have never heard of scent memory, your sense of smell can bring on the strongest memories because there’s so many emotions tied to scent. And when I smell squeeze the day, I automatically think of my grandmother.
Now, the reason that I think of my grandmother is because one time she made these lemon cookies. Now they were a very simple cookie that she was making from a box cake mix and just adding uh, some different ingredients to make it more like a cookie dough instead of a cake. But she made those lemon cookies one time when my husband came over with me, he was just my boyfriend at the time, but we went to see my grandmother and my husband being the sweet southern gentleman that he is just went on and on about how yummy these cookies were. Now in reality, he’s not a huge fan of lemon flavored anything, but he was just telling her how yummy they were. So my grandmother who might have had a little crush on my then boyfriend, definitely wanted to see him smile every time that he came over.
And so she would make sure to make those lemon cookies anytime she knew that Paul was coming over to the house. So when I smell squeeze the day, it makes me think of those lemon cookies that my grandmother, who we affectionately called Bebe used to make every time that she knew Paul was coming over. So if you love a lemon cookie or lemon cake smell, squeeze the day is the lemon scent for you. Now there’s another one that we have, and this one is called Lemon Best Scentsy Scents Sobe. Now, I had an amazing opportunity to go to Italy a few years ago on as Scentsy incentive trip. And this fragrance takes me right back to Italy where they had lemon cello sorbet around every single corner. I swear there was a gelato and sorbet shop on every single corner, and this is one of the flavors that every single one of them had.
Now, I can’t eat a lot of dairy, so I automatically go to the sorbets and lemon cello was just like my flavor of choice. So this has fresh cut lemon, grapefruit zest and sugar cane, but to me it is that lemon cello right from the gelato shop in Italy. So if you like just a light fresh lemon with a little bit of sugar on top of it, lemon sorbet is the lemon Scentsy fragrance for you. So the next one is called lemon drizzle cake. Now I told you this squeeze the day smelled like lemon cake, but this one actually has it in the name. This one definitely has that mixture of lemon and birthday cake. You can definitely smell the heaviness of the cake With this, I was looking to see exactly what is in this. It must not be in our citrus section, I bet it’s in the bakery section.
Mm-hmm. But lemon drizzle cake, I mean hello, there’s still lemon in it. You definitely can’t smell that. Oh, here it is, lilac sugar, interesting vanilla icing drizzle and lemon butter cake. So yes, you still have the lemon in there, but you have the heaviness of the cake. So if you prefer more of a bakery scent, this is going to be the one for you. It’s definitely in their bakery category and it should be because it has that to me, heavier fragrance of like a a sugar cookie mixed with a lemon drizzle cake. So the next one, coconut lemongrass. This is the brightest, the cheeriest, the freshest and the cleanest of all of our lemon fragrances. It is simply a mixture of coconut and lemongrass while lemongrass isn’t technically a lemon. Come on guys. It’s still in the same category. This one smells to me like a freshly clean kitchen, like as soon as you’ve cleaned your kitchen and it just smells fresh, clean and everything’s sparkling and white and lovely, that’s what that smells like.
So coconut lemongrass, I use it when I want that fresh, clean feeling of the lemons in my kitchen. Next we’re gonna go to sparkling yellow. Now this is a fragrance that we brought out in a rainbow collection a couple years ago. So many people loved the sparkling yellow and also the rainbow red that those two fragrances from that limited time offer collection made it into a catalog. So sparkling yellow is lemonade, grapefruit and pineapple. There is the lemon in it, but it’s such a great blend of other fruits along with it that it’s not just in your face lemon. If you prefer lemon but you want more of a overall citrusy feel, this is the fragrance that you’re gonna wanna go for. Yes, there is lemon, but more than that it’s just like bright and cheery, fresh summery fragrances. Now those are all gorgeous and yellow cuz this is a lemon collection, but I had to throw this one in there too.
It is cocoa lime and come on, friends, lemons, limes, they’re like best friends, right? Best friends. So anytime you talk about lemons, I feel like you have to throw a lime in the mix. And so I grabbed cocoa lime, it’s coconut milk, vanilla and fresh lime. I absolutely love this one. It gives me little margarita hints, but not like straight in your face. Margarita still has that light fresh scent of that lime on the rim of the glass. All you need is a little salt and you’re set to go <laugh>. But cocoa lime is so good, so it has that tartness of the lime, but that coconut kind of tames it down a little bit where it’s not as in your face as just a straight lime.
