I am going to come to you almost daily with some sort of Scentsy news, product review, product release, unboxing. You get the idea, anything Scentsy related. That is what I’m coming to share with you guys today. We are doing a sniff session. I have a six pack pick for you and I have a really fun one for the fall season today. But before we get into that, I just want to tell you a little bit about myself bit in case you haven’t ever popped by here. Like I said, my name is Jami Jo and I have been working with Scentsy for 15 years now. I started as a customer, became an addict, joined the company with a partnership as a consultant.
And I’ve been sharing my love of Scentsy products ever since October 20th, 2008. I was a teacher at the time. Scentsy has allowed me the opportunity to step away from the classroom, gave me the opportunity to focus on my family and instead of a job that I was having to go to and take time away from my family. And the biggest perk, the best part in my opinion of Scentsy fragrance is they reward with travel. Some companies reward hard work with car loans or or car leases. Some give extravagant jewelry. S Scentsy rewards with travel, and that is my love language and that is one of the reasons that I stay working with S Scentsy. But let me tell you, I would never be able to stay if I didn’t absolutely love the products and stand behind them. I love s Scentsy fragrance. I love s Scentsy Waxes.
They smell amazing. I love all the other products. Well, there’s a few exceptions and I’m pretty honest about that. I’ll let you know if I don’t like something. Uh, but I absolutely love our wax and warmers and that’s what we’re gonna talk about today. I told you we had a six pack pick. It is a sniff session and a fall six pack pick for you guys. Now in the fall season, we often hear the debate, apple or pumpkin, apple or pumpkin, which is better. I will clearly tell you I think apple is 100%, 10 times a billion times better than pumpkin, not a huge pumpkin fan. Uh, so there’s my disclaimer right out the gate, but our six pack pick today is three apple senses, three pumpkin scents. And we are going to go through
These. I kind of split them up because I want to compare and contrast the apple ones. Compare and contrast the pumpkin ones. Let you know kind of what the feel is for each of those. If you are looking to get some Scentsy wax, I always recommend a six pack pick. You can do this one, you can create your own. The reason that I recommend a six pack pick is it’s a great way to get the biggest bang for your buck. Anytime you buy five bars, you’re gonna get your sixth for free. So in US that pricing is $30 for a six pack of bars. That is for any non-licensed bars. So we are going to jump right into this sniff session. We’re gonna start out, you know, I’m gonna start pumpkin. I’m gonna start out with pumpkin, uh, honestly, so I can end with apple <laugh>.
So I have three pumpkin scents for you. I have farm stand pumpkin, I have pumpkin cinnamon swirl, and I have the iconic pumpkin roll. So first I’m gonna start with my sniff test, A pumpkin roll guys, I don’t really have to do a sniff test to this ’cause I’ve been smelling this one for like forever today. I think this one might have been out the season that I started. So back in 2008, this might be a 15 year fragrance. I’m not sure you’ll see that. I’m squishing it out of the container. I always like to smell the fragrances from the bottom because I store them like this and the scent oils tend to settle. So I wanna get a good scent review. So I always turn it over. Now, I will tell you, I gave you the disclaimer that pumpkin was not my favorite. I’m getting used to sniffing pumpkin because it’s such a popular fragrance that I smell it all the time.
Now let me tell you, pumpkin roll, yes, you can smell the pumpkin, but it’s very spicy on the nose. You can smell all the other spices that go along with it. You can even smell a little creaminess like a cream cheese Scentsy’s description says creamy pumpkin pie filling, surrounded with yellow cake, pecans, butter, and spice. So seriously you can smell all of those notes in this ride out the gate, you smell the spice right on the nose, you get the spice. But as you really take in the fragrance, it’s gonna settle in with that pumpkin and then even the sweetness of the cake and that butter. Maybe I can’t individually pull out the smell of pecans, but guys, I might be getting used to these pumpkin ones because I used to hate this <laugh> and it’s really not that bad. Maybe I’m getting used to these pumpkin smells. I don’t know. Let’s do pumpkin cinnamon swirl. So I know this one is a a bit sweeter. Let me get that bottom note again.
This one smells a lot more caramelly to me. It’s warmer, it’s not as spicy. And it’s funny because it has cinnamon in the name pumpkin cinnamon swirl, but, but honestly pumpkin roll is heavier on the cinnamon to me than the pumpkin cinnamon swirl. Pumpkin cinnamon swirl cin, he tells us fresh pumpkin garnished with cinnamon stick and a dollop of whipped icing. That whipped icing comes across as a really rich buttery caramel to me. I don’t know that I totally get the cinnamon, honestly, that’s so weird ’cause it’s called pumpkin cinnamon swirl. I mean, I guess it’s there, but it, that whipped icing definitely is an overtone over the cinnamon and really tames it down. Now we’re gonna round out the pumpkin selections with farm stand pumpkin. This one to me is the most natural pumpkin scent. Like this is the one that like, you’re gonna get a lot of pumpkin on the nose. That is like really what I smell. It’s just straight up pumpkin cin. He tells us, I almost said cinnamon tells us cinnamon doesn’t tell us cin. He tells us indulgent notes of fresh apples, cinnamon stick, pumpkin and caramel.
Now that I know that there’s an apple in it, guys, I don’t always read these s descriptions until like come live with you guys. Um, now that I know there’s apple in it, there is that tartness of apple. I don’t smell the caramel at all. To me this is like the most natural, like I said. So our three pumpkin scents, pumpkin roll if you want. Cinnamon, spice, everything nice pumpkin roll is for you. If you want the warmer, more bakery. Yummy, yummy. You want pumpkin cinnamon swirl. If you want the more natural pumpkin scent, like you’re out at the pumpkin patch, farm stand pumpkin is for you. So those are our three pumpkin scent in this six pack pick. We we’re moving on to the apples senses. I grabbed apple and cinnamon stick. I grabbed apple cherry strudel. I always wanna say strudel, but it’s strudel. And then baked apple pie. We’re gonna start with baked apple pie. This is a staple, a standard. I think any candle company, any fragrance home fragrance company has a baked apple pie. There is no other way to describe this. It smells like a baked apple pie. That is fun. Fact, that is my favorite thing to bake on Thanksgiving. I am always the one in charge of the apple pie. I actually do a salted caramel apple pie. This is so good. Cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon, which is
Not my favorite, but tiz the season, right? I’m glancing here to try and find the description. Oh, flaky crust, apples and spices combined in a strong scent. Let me tell you my feelings about cinnamon. I really think it smells good, but it tends to give me a headache. Like right now, I, I’ve already got the tinging start of a little headache right there. It’s because so many of these has cinnamon in it. And that’s an interesting thing about fragrances. Fragrances affect people in different ways. Now that does not mean I’m allergic to cinnamon. It just means I have an aversion to cinnamon and it gives me a headache. It’s not an allergic situation. I just don’t, don’t necessarily like it. Um, apple cherry strudel. That’s our next one. I honestly can’t tell you the last time I remember smelling this. And I can tell from the trouble of getting this bar outta the container.
I’ve never popped it out. Look, I broke it. It’ll be fine. It’ll still work. Ooh, yum. Why have I never warmed this? Oh my goodness gracious. Okay, this, okay. Do you have an Arby’s around you? I’m in Oklahoma. We have Arby’s and while Arby’s is not one of my favorite restaurants, anytime I go to Arby’s, I have to get a turnover. They have these cherry turnovers and you can even get like Pillsbury has them in the over by the biscuits and stuff at the grocery store and you can make ’em at home. This totally smells like that. It’s a great mix of the tartness of the apple, the deep warmth of the cherry. But you can smell that flaky crust. You can smell the icing. I’m not a huge user of bakery since in my home, but I might have to put this in the kitchen guys.
We’ve had this fragrance for so long and I’ve never tried it. Never tried it. ’cause I was always just like, Hmm, not my thing. That’s so good though. Apple cherry strudel, who knew? I need to give it a try. Rounding out the apple sense with apple and cinnamon stick. I’ll let you guess what fragrance notes are in this. Did I read you apple cherry strudel, granny Smith, apple cherry and vanilla dru drizzle. Insist on dessert first. I mean, it’s everything I told you it was right. Uh, apple and cinnamon stick, apple peel, spiced white pumpkin and a touch of oak. Oh, here we go. Well this one’s got apple and pumpkin.
This is high on the cinnamon. It’s a strong cinnamon. I’ve been sniffing a lot of cinnamon. I’m not gonna put my nose in that again, but apple Cinnamons. I don’t know that I smelled the pumpkin, but this reminds me of like when you walk into the grocery store. I talked the other day about the cinnamon pine cone smelling like that when you first walk into a grocery store. But this is reminiscent of that too, like where they have this, the cinnamon sticks that are all soaked in the oils and stuff like that that you can buy at Christmas. That’s what this smells like.
