<silence>

Well, hello there. Thanks so much for stopping by. Jami Jo sells wax here on YouTube. I am your host, Jami Jo, and this channel is all about Scentsy fragrance. Now, most of the time on this channel, I spend time talking to you guys, my friends, my family, my customers and potential customers or potential business people about products, about s Scentsy products, tips, tricks, reviews, new releases, all that good stuff. Occasionally I might come to you guys and talk to you about thinking about starting your own Scentsy journey, but today is a little bit different. Today I want to talk to existing teammates or existing Scentsy consultants about something that I do that I feel is super, super successful in my business. And if you are thinking about becoming a Scentsy consultant yourself, just keep this in mind that you want to look for a mentor in this business that knows what they’re doing that is successful with what they’re doing and is willing to mentor and train you on things that work.

All of that said, let’s jump right into it. Today we are talking about customer happy mail and how I like to reach out to my customers and thank them every single time that they order with me. Now, this system that I’m using now has grown and evolved over time. I’ve been in this business for 15 years. I started all the way back in 2008 when I first started my Scentsy business. This was something that I was terrible at. I was not really good at customer record keeping or even reaching out and thanking customers, but also business looked very different back then. Back in 2008 when I was really growing a business, I was mainly running my business off of home parties or catalog parties, things like that, where now my business has transitioned and the majority of my business is online orders where I don’t have a face-to-face interaction with my customers.

Most of my orders are just coming in off of my personal website or it’s existing customers reaching out to me to place replacement orders that I’m just having direct shipped to their house. So since I am not having an opportunity to have that one-on-one interaction with my customers, I want to make sure that I express my gratitude to them for supporting my business, but also make sure that they always know about the latest and greatest things from Scentsy. So this is what I do Every single time that I see an order come through on my workstation, on my order history. For one thing, I have a spreadsheet that I keep all of my customer’s data in. Yes, it is on the workstation, but I just prefer to run an Excel spreadsheet myself. Uh, I do have a couple other trainings on that Excel spreadsheet. So if you would like to see that training, just let me know and I can send you the link for that.

You can just comment, uh, here on this video and I can send you the link for for that video. But we’re not talking about that today. <laugh>. I just wanna talk to you exactly about what I’m putting in my customer Happy mail and my customer mailers. Now my goal is for everything to go in just this regular business envelope because I can buy these in bulk on Amazon and they don’t cost a lot of money. Also, my goal is to keep it to one stamp. That means that it needs to be one ounce or under when I weigh the envelope full of all the things. So when I sit down, I have two computer screens. Guys, I’ve been doing this a long time. I do this full time. Do not think that you have to do everything that I do to be successful. But as you become more successful in the business, you might think about adding these things in.

I find it easier to have two computer screens. So I have two computer screens. One, I put the customer’s order information up and the other is my customer database spreadsheet. So I make sure that all their information is correct, their address, their phone number is correct, all that. And I um, make sure to notate the order that I’m sending the Happy Mail out to. As I’m doing that, I am addressing my envelope right here, putting the customer’s name and address on there. I also, just because I do a lot of this at the same time, I make a little note up where the stamp’s gonna go of just the amount of PRV that they ordered from me. I track how much they purchased from me before tax and shipping, and that’s gonna come into play in just a minute. So I write the number up here of what the PRV was of what they spent with me, and if it was a club order, I also put a little C there as well.

That just makes me doing this a lot easier ’cause I do this once a week. I sit down on Tuesdays and I do this for all the orders for the past week. So it’s just easier if I do all my spreadsheets and write all my envelopes first and then I’ll go and stuff them all later. That’s really what I wanna talk to you guys about today. What am I putting in those envelopes? What am I stuffing inside? Again, do not think you have to do this exactly like me, but it’s just some ideas. The first thing that I do is I pop in this little note card. I designed this on Canva. I ordered it on Vista. Basically it’s just thanking them for their order. It’s telling them that they can text the word Scentsy to my project broadcast phone number, and they’ll be added in my customer update text.

And then there is a QR scan to take them to my Google page where I’m asking them to leave me a review. And then of course my face is on here because a lot of these people may not have ever even seen me in person. They are just ordering online. On the back of it, I have that our products are available at four different price points, full price, pretty self-explanatory, 10% off a little blurb about club there, half price, uh, that they can get a half price item when their club hits $60 or with hostess rewards or absolutely free. And I talk about hosting an affiliate link with me there and then a little blurb about joining with the kit and another silly picture of me. So every Happy male gets that. Every Happy Male also gets a little blurb about s Scentsy Club. Now if they, if it was a club order, it’s a different one and it tells them how to cash in on the points that they get from having a Scentsy club.

So I have two different ones on club. I have one for, to get someone into club and one to tell them how to use their points from club. Okay, so those are basic for everyone. Here is what I think is the most effective thing that I do, and it is this silly little piece of paper. It says Prize time on it under my finger. There’s a QR code for my VIP group. I don’t want that blasted out, so I’m just gonna show it to you like that. Um, my VIP group on Facebook here is, my goal with this right here is to get all of my customers into my Facebook VIP page. So what this prize time is, it says that a new fun way to earn free Scentsy each month you get one ticket for every $10 of cents, you spend two tickets for every $10 if it was a club order.

That is why it’s important for me to notate on the envelope how much they spent with me because then I just buy these tickets, um, on Amazon and I have them in several different colors. It just makes it easier. Every month, I change color so I can track what month we’re on. So I just pull off tickets for, they get one ticket for every $10 they spent with me, or two tickets for every $10. If it was a club order, I hang onto the ticket side. I mail them the side that says, keep this coupon. So they get a copy of this. I just staple their tickets to it and I tell them that I do a drawing on the fifth of each month on my VIP page. So make sure that you’re a part of that VIP page and make sure that you save those tickets.

I just go live. Let’s say on December 5th, I went live and drew the ticket for all of November’s purchases. Another really fun thing with this is when I play games on my VIP page, I can just send them a picture of a ticket and tell them that that was the ticket that they won from the little game that we played on the VIP page. That I think is the most essential part of my Happy Meal. A couple other things that I always like to pop in the flyer of the warmer of the month with the rub and sniff sticker, I want them to see that if they are a brand new customer, they’re gonna get a showcase brochure tri folded. Now if they get this, it’s going to bump it over that one ounce, so it is gonna be a two ounce stamp. But if they’re a brand new customer with me, I wanna make sure that they have this.

If they’re an existing customer with me, chances are they’ve already received it from me at a different time. I typically pop in a free cent circle with a little thank you sticker on there. If they’ve ordered a hundred dollars or more from me, that’s just a little extra goody that I send my customers that really support my business. And then the one other thing that I like to pop in is a magnet of some sort. If it is their first order with me, they get my business card magnet. So it has a QR code to this YouTube page right here. But just my information that they can stick on their fridge and always have all my information handy if they are an existing customer and they’ve ordered from me before I get magnets made on Vistaprint. Just fun little motivational sayings. I create these on Canva and have them printed on Vistaprint.

They all have a Scentsy logo on them, so every time they look at them, they’re reminded of, oh yeah, Jamie gave that. When I ordered S Scentsy from her, I have found that people throw business cards away, but they hang on to magnets forever and ever and ever. I have even gone into businesses around town and seeing this magnet like on a bar fridge or on a fridge in a refrigerator. It’s really kind of funny. Um, and sometimes people will go, is that you <laugh>? I’m like, yes, yes, that’s me. And usually when that has happened, it was either a server that ordered from me or the bartender or something like that, manager of the restaurant, and they end up just getting thrown on the <laugh> refrigerator there at the business, which I’m thrilled with because it’s advertisement for me around town guys. I have found that over time, this is the easiest system for me to do Happy Mail.

I know what I’m going to give. I don’t have to like recreate the wheel every single time. I know exactly what I am going to send to my customers. It also is another touch point for me, a chance for me to just say, thank you so much for supporting my business. But like I said a couple times in this video, if you are just getting started in the business, do not think you have to go all out. I would highly recommend you doing the ticket thing. Those tickets are super cheap on Amazon. You could just do that and then just grab a piece of paper like this and grab a Sharpie and hand write a note that says, thank you so much for supporting my business and sign your name. People just want to be thanked. They maybe they don’t want to be thanked, but they, it makes a huge difference.

If you take the time to reach out to your customers and really take care of them, they are going to support your business in ways that you never dreamed of before. It’s just something that in society we don’t see much anymore. So it makes a significant impact when you take the time to do it. I promise you, if you continue to thank your customers and spoil them and treat them well, they will take care of you guys.
