Today we are talking about the brand new bring back my bar fragrances with Scentsy for January of 2024. Guys, I am a Scentsy consultant, and here on this channel we talk about all the yumminess that Scentsy is. I’m here to do product reviews, product releases, and all fun s Scentsy things. Now, like I said, today is all about bring back my bar for January of 2024. Brand New Year. Guys, if you’re not familiar with what bring back my bar is Scentsy is a fragrance company that has been around for almost 20 years now, and over that time we’ve seen tons and tons of different fragrances, but at any given time, we usually have somewhere between 80 and a hundred fragrances available.
But if you think about all the fragrances that have been discontinued over Scentsy’s history, there are thousands. So what Scentsy does they allow voting, and it happens twice a year, they allowed voting a couple months ago, and the top 20 most voted on discontinued bars have come back for a one month limited time offer. We have a couple bonuses, and I’ll explain how that works at the end. So we actually have 25 different fragrances that are available this month, only for January of 2024. We have 25 fragrances to go through, so I am going to jump right in. Let me say I don’t like all of these <laugh>, but some of them I absolutely love. So you’re gonna get my true opinion. My opinion does not mean that it’s gonna be the same as yours. So we’re gonna go through the fragrances and smell every single one with, I promise you, very real <laugh> reactions. Now, I have smelled all of these before, but still when you smell so many different fragrances every time you open ’em, it’s like a brand new experience. This first one is amaretto.
I really like this scent. It’s very sweet. It’s a very, very sweet almond. If you know the smell of amaretto liqueur, they’ve nailed it right here Scentsy tells us it’s an almond scented fragrance sweetened with honey and spice. Exactly what amaretto is. It is sweet. So if you love sweet, it’s for you. If you don’t enjoy sweet, mark that one off of your list. But it is a very good, I think it’s a mellow fragrance. I think it’s a great mixer for other scents. If you have never mixed scenty fragrances, you are really missing out on experience. This is Awakening. Now, I remember when Awakening was a, uh, current catalog fragrance, and I’ll tell you to me, it’s super light. I don’t hardly smell anything, so it’s not a fragrance for me. But maybe that description right there said, oh, yeah, that’s what I need.
To me, I like fragrances that are really in your face, and this one’s real unassuming. It’s very light. Um, invigorate your senses with an unexpected harmony of white peach and vanilla. Pineapple and amber, very, very mild for awakening. Moving right along, B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Every time this fragrance <laugh> comes out, I turn into Quinn Stefani <laugh>. If you like banana Laffy taffy <laugh>. If you like the smell of banana Laffy taffy, this is your fragrance. That’s exactly what it smells like. It smells like I just opened a package of Laffy Taffy banana, a delicious tropical banana mixed with coconut milk and island vanilla reminiscent of banana flavored taffy. That’s what it is right there. Banana Laffy taffy in a Scentsy bar. How about that? Moving right along, we have caramel sugar cone, and there is nothing better than walking into an ice cream shop while they’re making waffle cones.
This is not exactly that <laugh>, but it’s good. The, the smell when you walk into an ice cream shop is more waffley. This is not that scent. It’s still good. It’s a little lighter for me. It is a sugar scent. It is a bakery scent, but it’s on the milder side, gu free, gooey caramel, vanilla sugar cone, and a touch of malt. I can smell the caramel now that I read that. A lot of vanilla and caramel, again, a great yummy scent, but pretty mild cranberry mango is our next one. I’ll be honest, I’m kind of unimpressed with like fruit smells. I don’t know why it’s good, especially, I think this is, it’s odd because I think I remember this as a summer scent, but it’s very warm and like fallish to me. But you’ve got that mango on top that kind of gives it a pop of brightness. Uh, a melan, that’s a fancy word, a melan of tropical mango. Crazy cozy cranberry, not crazy cranberry, cozy cranberry and spicy pineapple. I mean, it’s kay, it’s kay. Not good, not bad. Moving to crazy coconut. I remember when this was a scent. We had this in the kids line, I believe.
Guys, I promise you, there are fragrances in this that I do love, and you’re gonna hear about those when I smell them. This one’s meh. If you love coconut, there you go. If you love the smell of tanning lotion, there you go. It’s just straight in your face. Coconut, coconut milk, mixed fruit and vanilla ice cream.
I don’t smell any fruit. I smell coconut milk and maybe some ice cream to me as the little bland, but if coconut’s your jam, coconut’s your jam. Okay, guys, when I was smelling these, I will tell you, I’ve, I’ve been a Scentsy consultant for 15 years, so I’m pretty sure I’ve interacted with all of these fragrances before and I remember when Buzz Lightyear came out, but I don’t know that I ever smelled it because when I smelled this, when these came in, I was like, oh, hello. Yeah, that’s club worthy for me. It’s very fresh, it’s very clean. It’s reminiscent of laundry to me, which is interesting for a Disney buzz light you’re sent. I love it. It’s clean, it’s yummy. Um, it’s called Disney Buzz Light Year two Infinity and Beyond, and it says, blast off to a galaxy of endless imagination where Fizzy orange <laugh>. This is so funny that I think it’s laundry, that it’s fizzy. Orange and black current are cosmically balanced with plumb blossom and sugared raspberry, huh?
Okay, if, if that’s how you wanna describe it, fine, but to me it’s a super yummy laundry scent, but it is going in my Scentsy glove <laugh>, I’ll tell you that much. Moving on to our other Disney fragrance that made the list. This is Disney’s Twitter painted. You can tell what movie it’s from, from Bambi. Let’s see, very bright, uh, crisp, A little grassiness in there, which I, we used to have a scent called Fresh Cut Grass. I loved it. I smell a little bit of that in here. Disney Twitter painted, said Spring is in the air and it’s waiting to sweep you off your feet in a swirl of Sunkissed Meyer Lemon Morning Dewdrops and lush wild Moss to me, I can definitely smell the, the crispness of the lemon, but I smell that that grass or as the description says, moss in that undertone. So if you like earthy fragrances, and I don’t mean like colon fragrances, I mean like earthy natural scent, this is gonna be one for you. I like it, but I don’t know that it’s club worthy for me. It’s yummy. I’ll be happy to warm it, but not necessarily club worthy. Now, this next one, I remember when this came out and it’s very polarizing. People either love it or hate it. It’s called everything Nice. It came out, uh, right around Christmas time quite a few years ago.
I want to like it, but I don’t, to me, I don’t know. Um, if you’ve ever been into a Catholic church or an Episcopalian church anywhere that uses incense during the holidays, to me it has that feel, but not like straight in your face. Incense, it’s like incense and a bakery had a baby. I don’t know. Let’s go to the description. Uh, sugar and spice and everything. Nice deep caramel and swirls of butter with roasted pumpkin and glazed pecans. It’s the pumpkin that’s getting me. You guys know if you followed me for a while, you know I don’t dig pumpkin since, so that’s, that’s why that’s a negative for me. Falling leaves, oh, this one, <laugh>. I thought I had falling leaves in my club, but I went back and looked and it was painted leaves, but they’re very close. I love this one. Um, it’s deep, it’s warm, it’s earthy with a little bit of spice on top of it.
It just, you know that feeling when you were a kid and you would scoop up all the leaves and jump in them and it was like you could smell like the earth, but it was fun and the air was crisp. That’s what this is. So the name is absolutely perfect, an earthy blend of clove, cinnamon, and patchouli. I love me some patchouli. If you, you love patchouli, you’re gonna be excited in just a little bit. So everything nice. If you love spicy earthy scents, that should be your choice. Since we’re on those spicy scents, we’re gonna move right into Frosted Ginger cookie. I am not normally a bakery fan, but I love this one. It smells just like a ginger snap cookie. I love the scent of ginger. Give me ginger in anything and I’m gonna be happy it that. It’s a a ginger snap cookie. That’s exactly what it is. Chewy brown sugar cookie spiked with warming. Let me start again. Chewy brown sugar cookie spiked with warming ginger and fragrant vanilla, yum, yum, yum. Club worthy for me. Uh, lavender vanilla, switching it up, up completely here with lavender vanilla says, A relaxing mix of hillside, lavender, vanilla beans and orange zest and patchouli.
I’m a lover of lavender, but I don’t get a lot of it with this. So if you’re looking for lavender, like straight lavender in your face, this is not your mix. It’s, it’s a lovely floral mix. I’d say it’s like middle of the road as far as like strength. It’s not like real unassuming, but it’s not in your face. So you can smell it, but it’s not overpowering. Definitely a lot of florals, you floral fans are gonna love this. Lavender, vanilla orange and patchouli in lavender. Vanilla, Lonnie, Sarah is our next one and I don’t really remember Lonnie, Sarah, I don’t even know if I’m saying it right. It must be a super, super old one or just, it never impressed me and so I don’t remember it.
I can barely even smell it. It’s super, super light. Um, it says Taste the sweet nectar from a honeysuckle trumpet as warm, amber and Pli hover above a spring garden. We have a lot of things with patchouli in it right now in this collection, but honestly, I don’t smell a bit of patchouli in this. It’s a very, very light and mild floral fragrance. Lonnie, Sarah, if that is your fancy, you’re gonna be happy. Moving on to panty petals. Another floral, not unassuming <laugh>. This one’s in your face. This one you’re gonna notice. It takes me back to high school. There used to be a Bath and Body Works fragrance that was so, so similar to this. And guys, I was in high school in the nineties when Bath and Body Works was everything. Every girl had some of it in their locker and in between classes, our poor teachers, ’cause I know those hallways just like wreaked of a mixture of so many different strong fragrances.
But this is just like the pe Andy that was Bath and Body Works. So if that’s the area you grew up in, if that’s a fragrance that you love, this is one that you’re gonna like. I think I might add this to club just for a little bit to stock up for a bit. It’s not like a die hard fragrance for me, but I do want some of it. Red Cedar and sage is our next one. I will tell you this is a fragrance that I like, but I still have some stockpiled. It’s very spicy and not like cinnamon clove spice, but like peppery spicy on your nose. Like it’s, I gotta see what’s in it. It must be that sage ’cause it says run free. Oh, I didn’t read you the peony pedals description. It’s peony and Rose. Basically this red cedar and sage run free through red cedar, sage and fresh forest greens.
It’s that sage that’s getting me, but I almost smell it a little peppery, a little like pink pepper or white pepper in there. I love it. But like I said, I still have some on hand, so I’m not gonna have to add that to my club, but it is a good fragrance for me. Alright guys, I told you it was coming. If you’re a Patchouli fan, you’ve been begging for this. I know I have tons of Patchouli fans in my customer base and we heard you, we heard you simply patchouli the description. Simply patchouli, I’m a lover of patchouli myself. Again, a very polarizing fragrance. I have a feeling that a lot of my hippies, my my long live the hippies customers are going to get a bunch of this or be adding it to club because I’ve been hearing you guys begging for it and it finally came back. Simply patchouli.
You know if you love patchouli or not. <laugh>, toasted apple butter, another bakery scent, creamy butter blended with ripe apples as scented with rich spices. That’s a weird word as scented. A-C-C-E-N-T-E-D accented <laugh>. Okay, sometimes you have to laugh at yourself. <laugh> accented. Okay, that one’s a good for bakery sent. I’m not really a bakery fan. It does taste yummy enough to eat, but that’s not necessarily what I want my house to smell like if you love bakery since if you love baked apple pie, this one’s gonna be good for you. Um, it’s good, it’s okay. Now I just said I don’t like bakery since, but we’re moving on to toasted caramel sugar and this one is going in my club. I remember when this was a fragrance that we had and I hoarded it before it went away, but I ran out. This, I believe was a scent of the month.
It is so yummy. So I make a treat at Christmas time called Christmas Crack. It’s like you put down the salting crackers, you make like a toffee caramel liquid that you pour over it and then you let it get hard and you have chocolate on top too. This smells just like that. And we’re just rounding out the holidays. I still have some Christmas crack in there and this makes me want to go get a piece of it. Warm milk with caramelized sugar and toffee all swirled together with a scent of silky sweet vanilla musk. Yum. It makes my mouth water. It’s going in my club. Oh, my club is growing. I have four new ones to add in there. Vanilla walnut is our next fragrance. Vanilla walnut is a warm fragrance with roasted walnut and sweet vanilla bean. Me, I mean, it’s good, but meh.
If you like walnuts and vanilla, vanilla, I’ll probably like it to me it’s underwhelming. Uh, whipped vanilla pear. I don’t really remember this one. A luxurious caramel glaze tops, baked pear and whipped vanilla. I another bath and body works memory from back in the day. That pear, it’s the pear that’s getting me very reminiscent of the nineties bath and body pear. So if that was your jam, grab that now. The next five. The last five guys, you’ve, oh, you’ve hung with me for a while now. My videos are normally just about 10 minutes long. We’re we’re definitely going over that today. These next five did not make the final cut of customer picks. But Dan Orchard, our CEO was very adamant that these had to be added to the bring back my bar list. Some of them. Thank you Dan. Some of them. What the heck were you thinking? Um, blood orange spice, this sweet tart trio of candied apple blood orange puree and cinnamon stick will satisfy your autumn obsession. What were you thinking, Dan? Dan, what were you thinking?
I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit. I I do cinnamon. I remember when this one came out. Uh, not an absolute favorite of mine, but it’s good. It’s very Christmassy. The name says it all. Warm, earthy cinnamon and spices melded with a cool burst of peppermint. If you like cinnamon and peppermint, it’s your jam. It smells like gum to me. Not a fragrance. I wanna warm all over my house, but I think it’d be a great car fragrance. But sadly we just have waxes in these just wax only. Okay, lavender fans. You might’ve been disappointed earlier, but maybe we’ll make up for it here. Lots of lavender is a calming blend of chamomile and lavender.
So if you like the Dr. Teal’s lavender bath salts, this is so close to it. Not as strong as a Dr. Teal scent, but if, if you like that feel, this is a fragrance for you. It’s yummy. I like it. But I have whipped vanilla lavender in my club and it’s a way better lavender in my opinion. So if you don’t have whipped vanilla lavender, add this one. But I think the whipped vanilla lavender’s better strawberry sweetie. Okay. Are any of you the same age as me? You had those strawberry shortcake dolls when you were a little girl and when you opened them out of the package, they smelled like strawberries. Do you remember this? There was like a blueberry cupcake girl and like a lemon girl and a strawberry shortcake. This smells like that doll. Fun fact, fun fact for you. The lady that made strawberry shortcake lives in my town. How about that? Well,
Yeah, she also made care bears and get along gang strawberry. Sweetie. I believe she just passed away. That’s why I was like, hmm, I think I remember seeing that in the news, but I don’t want to kill her off if she didn’t dump it. This went really morbid really fast and I didn’t mean for that to happen. But we’re gonna round this out with twilight. Now, let me tell you about when Twilight was first released. Um, first of all, I don’t think we have any other fragrance as a black label. When Twilight was released, I immediately called my friend Jennifer. Jennifer and I went to college together and the minute we, she was a Scentsy consultant at the time too. The minute we got our testers, I called her and I was like, Jen, have you smelled twilight yet? And she was like, yes. Um, it’s the dorms.
It smells just like the dorms, honestly. It smells just like my dorm bathroom. So I don’t know if it was like one of the little scent things on the wall or if it was the soap that they always used in the dorm bathrooms. But this is if you are at NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in lore, I don’t remember which. I think I was on south Lore South. This is the smell of the bathroom. But like in a good way, <laugh>, I love it. I’m adding it to S Scentsy club. So guys, I have five new fragrances to add to my S Scentsy club and I’m okay with that because I can always change it if I want to.
