Hello. Hello, I am Jami Jo and I am from Jami Jos Sales Wax. So I have a business, a fragrance business, where I have partnered with Scentsy Fragrance for over 14 years now since all the way back in 2008 when I found Scentsy and fell in love with their wax and warmers. But over the last 14 years, Scentsy has really expanded their product lines and today we are going to be talking about one of those awesome product lines while I prepare to go to the laundromat. Now, I used to go to the laundromat all the time when we were a younger married couple, but now I’m spoiled to the fact that I have a washing machine in my house, so I rarely have to go to the laundromat. However, there’s been a fun flip to our story the past little bit. Paul and I were on vacation in Mexico last week, so we came home with suitcases full of stinky, half wet, sweaty, nasty beach clothes.
Trust me, the, these do not smell very good. You don’t want to smell them right now. But the fun little twist to that story is while we were in Mexico, our community experienced a large, large storm. There were straight line winds up to over actually a hundred miles per hour. I kind of guess that maybe we had some small tornadoes in that as well. Long story short, we have no electricity. The electricity went out five days ago and we are still without electricity. I’ve got to get these clothes washed because that smell has got to get out of this house. So I am going to be packing up my laundry and heading to the next town over where they have electricity to get my laundry done. And I wanted to talk to you guys today about what best Scentsy scents I am going to throw in my basket to take to the laundromat.
And these are some of them. I can’t put ’em all in my hands at once. So let’s talk about the products I’m going to take with me to the laundromat. I am going to start with Scentsy’s Laundry Liquid. Now this stuff is absolutely amazing. I was really skeptical when our laundry products first came out. My husband works in landscaping and construction. Duke gets dirty derby and I thought, there’s no way some fru freely the detergent is gonna get his clothes clean and boy was I wrong because this stuff is so good. It gets all of the stains out of his jeans, out of his clothing, and I absolutely love our laundry liquid. Now, normally I really could care less, couldn’t care less about the size of the bottle, but for packing up to go to the laundromat, I am thrilled that this bottle is so small.
Now, this bottle will normally last me a couple weeks of doing laundry because it only takes four small squirts for a medium to large load. That’s all that I needed. Super highly concentrated. Like I said, it works really well and gets those stains out. But guys, we’re best Scentsy scents. Of course, it’s going to smell amazing. Fiji flour is my favorite fragrance currently for my laundry product. So I’m absolutely loving Fiji flour. I will definitely be starting my laundry with this, the laundry liquid. Now I need a couple other things. I do not use fabric softener. Instead, I use vinegar. Guys, this is just the cheapy cheapy vinegar from Walmart. This is what I keep in my laundry room, but I’ll tell you, I’m not gonna take this big old jug with me to the laundromat. I will be pouring some into a empty water bottle or something.
Now, why do I use white vinegar instead of fabric softener? Most people do not realize that fabric softener is actually a chemical that fills in the pores of fabric. Now, when you do that, you put that waxy coating on your fabric. It does a couple things. The first thing that it does is it absolutely kills any moisture wicking that your fabric may have had. Now, moisture wicking is quite the term right now, especially for athletic wear or athleisure wear. But really any cotton fabric has a moisture wicking. It has little channels in the fabric that help moisture come to the top of the fabric. If you are using traditional fabric softener, you are putting a wax coating in between those channels of the fabric to where the wetness, the, I hate to say this word, but the moistness cannot come to the top of the fabric.
So I would really challenge you to do a little bit of research on fabric softener and see just what it does to your clothes. It can also block those channels in the fabric and sometimes cause a musty smell. Like if you have a hard time getting your towels to smell good or your sheets to smell good, it might be because of the fabric softener that you’re using. So I use CII detergent. I use white vinegar as fabric softener. I always get asked, but isn’t it gonna make my clothes stink? No, the smell completely washes away. As the clothing is rinsed, you do not smell the vinegar at all. There are two other products that I’m going to be taking with me to the laundromat and this my friends, is my absolute favorite, favorite, favorite product from the best Scentsy scents laundry line. If I could only choose one product for my laundry, this would be it, because this is what adds the most amazing fragrance to your clothing.
Now, washer whiffs are basically just a salt crystal that have fragrance added to them. So let me show you what this looks like. It’s just like a crystallized salt substance. You’re gonna sprinkle this right on top of your dirty clothes. Now, wash your whis. Don’t, don’t wash your clothes. They don’t soften your clothes. They, they have no magical powers except they’re gonna make your clothes smell absolutely amazing. Use as little or as much as you want. Um, I usually use two big scoops for a large load of laundry. Like I said, you’re just gonna sprinkle it on top of your dirty clothes, whether it’s a top loader or a front loader, it doesn’t matter. And it is he safe. All of our products are he safe. So toss those washer whips in with those dirty clothes and just wait too. You pulled them out. They are going to smell amazing.
Now I round out what I’m taking to the laundromat with my dryer discs. So I have two of them here. I use quiet. I will take quite a few more because hopefully here, here’s the great thing about the laundromat. You can get all your laundry done at once cuz you can use multiple machines at a time. So I’m gonna take a couple of these. They come into to a box. Now what a dryer disc is, it’s just another chance to add extra fragrance to your laundry. It’s called a dryer disc guys, it’s going in the dryer. So you put in your wet clothes, you toss one or two or however many in there that you want. You let these tumble around with your clothes and it’s just going to add that last little touch of fragrance to your clothes. I promise you, I’m gonna be the best smelling washer and dryer at that laundromat and I promise you that people will ask me what I’m using because it smells that good guys, our laundry products, I would put them up against any other product on the market.
I remember when I was a kid, they used to do like those blind tests like Coke, Pepsi or whatever. Like there’s little cardboard box. I don’t know how you would do a blind test for best Scentsy scents laundry products, but I promise you we would win. I just know that we would. So I have my laundry all sorted here. I’m going to grab an empty water bottle to put that vinegar in and I am going to be ready to go to the laundromat. Now all I gotta do is swing by somewhere and pick up tens of quarters. Guys, I don’t even know do. Maybe laundromats don’t even need quarters anymore. Maybe I can use my bank card. Question mark. I don’t know. I haven’t used a laundromat in years and years and years, so I’m sure they’re quite different from when I used to have to do all of our laundry in the laundromat.
